Dv8 Missions

Our desire as a ministry is to see that our young people have opportunities to serve the lord on the mission field. The mission field is all around us.  As a ministry we strive to train our young people and equip them to be the hands and feet of God every where they go.  To help create a passion for missions and a desire to tell others about Christ, we are constantly providing our young people with opportunities throughout the year to not only serve in their own community, but around the world as well.
To do this, not only do we participate in local missions throughout the year, but we also plan mission trips throughout the summer.  Each summer we participate in two mission trips.  One trip is a local mission trip, geared at creating a passion in our young people to serve their own community. The other trip is geared toward creating a passion in our young people to take the gospel around the world.  To do this as a ministry we alternate each summer in participating in mission trips within the United States and outside.  We have served in different locations such as, Greenville, S.C., Charleston S.C. Sao Paulo, Brazil, Krakow, Poland, Rome, Italy and more!
On this page you will find all the details about our upcoming trips as well as see some pictures of our previous trips.  Feel free to check them out!

Upcoming Mission Opportunities

This summer our youth (6th-12th grade) will be participating in a mission trip to Greenville, S.C. and be staying at North Greenville University. The week of July 2nd-7th. While in Greenville our young people will be serving the local community by visiting nursing homes, helping out at local food pantries and clothes closets, putting on Backyard Bible Schools and doing some light construction.
In the afternoons they will return to campus and participate in some exciting camp like activities as well as participate in worship services.
Once again our youth group will be participating in our local missions camp.  Our young people will spend the week of July 22nd-27th serving their own community. They will be serving the local community by visiting nursing homes, helping out at local food pantries and clothes closets, putting on Backyard Bible Schools and doing some light construction.  As well as serve at local ministries such as Lifespan, Habitat for Humanity, Legacy Pregnancy Center and more.
Each Afternoon they will return to their church host site for a great time of fellowship.  There will be volleyball & basketball tournaments, a talent show, crazy games and of course the Mega Relay.

Your teenager does not want to miss out on this amazing opportunity! Cost is only $60 for the entire week.  We will once again be staying at Salem Baptist Church in Dobson.
