WMU

Women on Mission is about helping women discover ways God is already at work in their everyday lives, and then equipping them to be radically involved in God's mission.
The members of the WMU at Haymore concentrate on spreading God's Word by supporting missions.  Through prayer, giving of their time, energy and finances, the ladies involved in WMU are dedicated to challenge Christian believers to understand and be radically involved in the missions of God.  Currently our WMU members are actively involved in the Mt. Airy Medical Ministry, Church Food Pantry and Clothes Closet, World Hunger, visits to local Nursing Homes and Children centers, Operation Christmas Child Shoebox collection, and promotion of specific mission offerings collected throughout the year.
We have several WMU groups that meet throughout the year.  If you would like to join one of our mission groups please contact our church and we will gladly help you discover the group best for you.

Women on mission will help women:

  • Understand God's plan for reaching others
  • Explore and carry out their specific part as individuals and groups in God's plan.
  • Affirm others who have recognized their part in God's plan and hear their stories.
  • Participate in advocacy for others and for missions as part of God's plan.
